Thor Offers 3 New Diesel Floorplans

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) said its diesel motorhome division has been receiving high marks from the customers and dealers with its three new floorplans in the Tuscany, Tuscany XTE, and Palazzo.

“Thor Motor Coach diesels have made a 25.8 percent market share increase (according to Statistical Survey’s data through September) in 2013,” said Adam Gudger, national sales manager. “This market increase exemplifies our commitment to product development and new floorplans. We’ve listened to our retail customer and our team has done a tremendous job developing products that meet their needs.”

The 44MT floorplan in Tuscany offers the most living space in any TMC diesel. The bath-and-half layout maximizes the usable space by scaling back the size of the rear bath without reducing functionality, the company said. The slight change in the rear opens up a living room, which includes a standard Ultraleather sofa and booth ensemble with opposing hide-a-bed sofa.

The company said livability is the key focus for the Tuscany XTE, which it exemplifies in the new 40GQ’s camp side sofa and dinette arrangement. The layout provides view to the outside under the patio awning. Seating and dining configurations allow for customization of the living space. The bedroom features a king size Denver mattress, clothes storage and a stackable washer and dryer.

The new Palazzo 35.1 offers a unique living room arrangement, perfect for couples or bigger families, the company said. It includes dual opposing slide-outs, a first in the Palazzo lineup. A 46-inch TV is viewable throughout the coach, and when not in use, easily stored away by retracting into the buffet dinette.

Other firsts for the Palazzo in the 35.1 include a full wardrobe that expands from wall-to-wall in the bedroom and a king size bed with a Denver mattress.
