Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) Safety Recall affects 2019-2020 Flagstaff and Cherokee Arctic Wolf recreational trailers equipped with MORyde Orbital or You Turn Rubber Pin Box Wedge Kits.
Reason for Safety Recall of Flagstaff & Cherokee Fifth Wheels
MORryde has detected a poten al safety concern with the rota ng pin boxes listed above for vehicles manufactured between 3/16/18 and 7/15/19. It has been determined that rota ng pin boxes in this recall popula- on may have been manufactured with improper length bolts that hold the wedge to the pin box.
If the rota ng pin box is unlocked and allowed to rotate and the wedge is installed with improper length bolts, the wedge may become disconnected from the pin box. This would allow the rota ng pin box to pivot in two places which could allow the trailer to come in contact with the truck. This could cause property and/or personal damage.
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the bolts and replace them as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin September 11, 2019.
