Anthony J. Balesteri III filed a complaint on Feb. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Grand Design RV LLC citing the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, the Song-Beverly Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 5, 2016, he suffered economic damages from purchasing a travel trailer manufactured by the Grand Design RV, which already exhibited numerous defects in material and workmanship upon purchase. The suit states the trailer was delivered by the plaintiff to the defendant to remedy the defects, but it remains defective to date. The plaintiff holds Grand Design RV LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly caused plaintiff to acquire an impaired trailer in terms of use, value and safety, failed to cure the defects in the trailer as warranted, and refused to make further repairs or provide a refund.
