Mini Travel Fan
I thought about how much good I’ve gotten from my little mini travel fan. And that got me thinking I ought to share it with you because it is cool (pun intended), and I believe it is an excellent addition to any RV.
I purchased my Mini Travel Fan in September 2018. I don’t use it much in the winter, but it gets used a lot all summer. Sometimes 24 hours a day. During the day, I place it on the counter about 4 feet from my computer desk. It goes next to my bed at night, again about 4 feet away. I’ve rarely needed more than the lowest speed to keep me comfortable.
Small size is ideal for RVs
The mini travel fan is small at 4.1×1.6 X 5.9 inches and weighs 7 ounces, making it ideal for even the smallest RV. Even though it is small, it moves a lot of air for its size. It is quiet too, nearly silent on its low setting.
Three Speeds
The portable desk fan has three speeds. Low speed is super quiet, with enough airflow to keep comfortable. The fan is barely audible at 4 feet distance and operating at medium speed. On high speed, the fan runs at 3200 rpm and puts out a lot of air but is still much quieter than a small box fan.
USB Power
Mini Travel Fan plugs into a USB port or USB wall-power cube for power. A micro USB cable (3.6 feet) is included, but you will have to buy a wall-power cube if you don’t already have one.
Rechargeable Battery
While the Mini portable travel fan is handy and works fine plugged into a USB port, what makes it truly portable is its rechargeable 2200mAh 18650 Lithium cell that, according to the seller, can run the mini fan for 3-13 hours on a full charge. I have not tested those times, but from my experience, I would say they are a bit high. I think I have gotten eight hours on slow speed. The shortest battery time results from being set on High Speed. In contrast, the longest time is Low Speed. That said, if you plan to use it all day, you will want to plug it into USB power. The battery charges while the fan uses USB power, but it charges very slowly if the fan is running. So you may want to get another battery charger.
Nightlight
The mini travel fan includes a built-in LED nightlight. It is bright enough to be useful, but you cannot operate the fan simultaneously, so to me, its practical uses are limited.
