RV Snowbirds Get 50% Discounts at Georgia State Parks Campgrounds

Now through February 2015, Georgia State Parks is offering RV snowbirds camping at a 50 percent discount off the regular campsite rates of $20 to $32 per night on stays of 30 nights or more at participating state parks. Many of the RV sites have water, sewer and electric amenities.

Those with four-legged children are welcome to bring their leashed canine family members along.

This special discount is valid for campsites at six participating state parks scattered across middle and South Georgia, including Florence Marina, Kolomoki Mounds, Magnolia Springs, Reed Bingham, Seminole, and Stephen C. Foster. Chattahoochee Bend State Park, an hour south of Atlanta near Newnan, is offering the 50 per cent discount from December 12, 2014 to February 28, 2015. The parks offer unparalleled natural surroundings, quietness and serenity, historical perspectives, and something uniquely different about each one for discerning cold-weather escapees. Most are within easy driving distance of other state parks that offer discounts on winter golfing.

– One-time ParkPass entrance fee of $5.00 not included.
– Reservations are necessary, but there are no extra fees for making reservations
– When reserving online, the full rate is charged, but is adjusted to the discount price on arrival. Best to call the park directly for reservations.
– Discount applies to all tent and RV camping, with or without hookups (Most have electric and water, some have sewer)
