While this statement is true, the pressure stamped on the sidewall of the tire is most likely NOT the correct inflation pressure for YOUR vehicle.

The correct pressure for your vehicle is located on the rating plate.  For example, the tires on my Terry 28J are rated at 65 psi maximum, but the correct inflation pressure is 50 psi as stated on the vehicle rating plate.
