Carriers Provide Free Cell Phone Data to Harvey Victims

According to RV Mobile Internet Resource Center, the major cellular carriers are stepping up to provide customers affected by Hurricane Harvey with free cell phone data without fear of overage charges. This program applies to customers with a billing address in affected areas and is limited in time. Be sure you check with your carrier for specifics. If you are an out-of-state RVer visiting Texas you will not eligible for free cell phone data.

Comcast Xfinity Wi-Fi – Comcast is unlocking 53,000 Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots in impacted areas to provide free service through at least Wednesday, regardless of whether or not you are a Comcast subscriber.

You can find Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspot locations on Comcast’s website. Each non-customer session will be limited to two hours, but you can keep reconnecting as needed.
